What deletion does

Deleting your account removes your account record and the data we hold for you. Your private CloudKit data — the league info synced to your iCloud — is stored under your Apple ID, not ours, and is removed when you delete the app and clear iCloud data (instructions below). See our Privacy Policy for the full data-flow picture.

Option 1 — In-app account deletion (recommended)

This is the fastest path and removes everything tied to your account on our side.

  1. Open the BowlersDash app.
  2. Tap Settings (gear icon).
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm when prompted.

The app will sign you out and remove your account on the spot. Server-side data deletion completes within 30 days.

Option 2 — Web fallback (email request)

If for any reason you can't access the app — for example, you've already deleted it from your device — send us a deletion request:

  • To: support@cometinnovations.com
  • Subject: Delete BowlersDash Account
  • From: the email associated with your BowlersDash account (if you used Apple's private relay email, send from the relay address)

We'll confirm receipt within 5 business days, verify your identity, and complete the deletion within 30 days. We'll send a final confirmation when the deletion is complete.

Clearing your local and iCloud data

Account deletion removes server-side records. Your local app data and any data synced to your private iCloud account is under your control and can be removed separately:

  1. Delete the app from your device: press and hold the BowlersDash icon → Remove App → Delete App. This removes all local data.
  2. Clear iCloud data: Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → BowlersDash → Delete Data from iCloud.

What we retain (and why)

A small set of records may be retained beyond account deletion, where required:

  • Transaction records — Apple maintains records of in-app purchases and subscriptions for tax and audit purposes. We may retain corresponding records as required for accounting and legal compliance.
  • Aggregated, anonymized statistics — if we ever publish such statistics, they will not identify you. (Note: as of the effective date of our Privacy Policy — May 9, 2026 — we do not publish or generate user-level analytics.)
  • Records required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal hold or subpoena.
